A house fire in the community of Bridgeland at 222 Eighth St SE on Saturday March 16, had fire crews battling the blaze for several hours before eventually getting the fire under control.
No one was thought to be in the house at the time, according to the Calgary Fire Department.
Fire trucks lined the street as fire fighters fought through thick smoke and -14 C freezing temperatures. Built up water turned to ice in street gutters overnight as the house was torn down to help investigators find a cause.
