Calgary food trucks stay open through winter

Downtown workers brave the cold on Jan. 25 for gourmet eats

For the first time, Calgary food trucks are going to be open through the winter. It's an extension of the pilot project, which launched summer 2012, that extends food truck service into the chilly winter season.

Hungry Calgarians swarmed the street food vendors during the warm summer and fall months and don't seem to be slowing as the temperature drops. Customers are lining up for gourmet goodies at different locations across the downtown core.
