With the Calgary Hitmen's season winding to a close, their fifth-straight victory has led to a third-place overall in the Eastern conference. However, the visiting team clawed back relentlessly, making the home team work for every goal.
The home game Tuesday night saw the Hitmen take an early lead over the Medicine Hat Tigers, putting Calgary up 1-0 within the first period. The Tigers clawed their way back. In the end, the Hitmen edged out the Tigers by 6-3. With only one more game to go in the season, the Hitmen are looking to finish off with a six-game winning streak and take the playoffs by storm.
