Kids learn about science first hand

Calgary Science Network visits local library

On Saturday March 2, the usually quiet Signal Hill Library was transformed into a world of experiments and fascination as children of all ages joined volunteers and presenters alike for the Awesome Science Road Show.

Organized by the Calgary Science Network, the presentations and activities aimed to help children discover the science that is all around them every day. By using a combination of everyday household items, volunteers showed children how you can make your very own lava lamp or create an erupting volcano.
