A Calgary photojournalism project is challenging photographers to push themselves out of their comfort zones. Photographers strive to get to know Calgary residents and share their stories via photo and text with the hopes of bridging gaps between Calgary as a community.

In a city like Calgary, with its immense size and ever-growing population, it can be easy to forget to slow down and take a look around. We're a city known for economic strength held together by the constant motion of our downtown core. With that, it's easy to let the city's vibrancy pass by without so much as a glance. At the Calgary Journal, we've turned our focus to a number of Calgary's most intriguing places, looking at how these places impact the lives of busy Calgarians.

People all over the city of Calgary
work different and interesting jobs that are all unique in there own way. This section of the Calgary Journal website looks at some occupations that aren't exactly of the norm, and also takes a closer look at some of the citizens and stories that shape our city's job market. These stories are not only about Calgarians in different job positions — they are in-depth profiles about the journeys of these people to get to where they are at today.
