Luxury Canadian designers showcase talent at PARKLUXE 2016

Fashion lovers across the city filled the walls of Calgary's Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, in East Village on Saturday Oct. 1, 2016.

Designed by Brad Cloepfil, Canadian Architect Magazine says the building reflects the emergence of a new Calgary. This made Studio Bell a fitting venue for PARKLUXE 2016, a fashion show celebrating the work and promoting the talents of Canadian luxury designers.

The sixth annual event featured designers including Lauren Bagliore, Urbanovitch, YEAR of the RAM, Okakie, Maison Marie Saint Pierre, Atelier by Ensemble Style and Paul Hardy.

The night connected the city's sophisticated fashion lovers with the talented designers through pop-up shops, a champagne raffle and VIP private concert by local artist Run Deer Run. All tickets purchased go directly back towards funding other PARK initiatives including PARKSHOW and PARKSALE.

PARKSHOW is a fashion showcase celebrating the work of emerging Canadian talent, whilst PARKSALE is an outdoor market featuring local artists and designers.

This mainly volunteer-run organization depends hugely on individuals who are passionate about growing the arts and fashion culture in our communities, and includes many day-of volunteers.
