Try these muffins as an entry to the world of bacon

Muffin3There is one food in this world that is just so mouth-wateringly amazing that it can stand alone and conquer every other food that dare’s challenge it.

I’m talking ’bout bacon.

The unbeatable food that is bacon is able to satisfy the most ravenous of hungers. That’s because it is pure salt and fat with just enough protein to be respectable, and let’s be honest, when a lumber-jack-sized hunger hits you, a carrot stick just isn’t going to cut it.

Even though bacon can stand alone, there is a culture around it full of people that like to take it to the next level or beyond.

If you Google “bacon recipes” you get a ton of results, 60 600 000 results to be exact. But I’ve found a couple of the better sites that really know how awesome bacon is.

The first one is www.republicofbacon.com, which is geared towards an audience searching for great bacon recipes that are more grounded in reality. By “More grounded in reality” I mean you get recipes that contain bacon, but aren’t going to completely clog your arteries with fat.

A couple of the best recipes I found on the above site include a bacon-Muffin2wrapped, spinach-stuffed chicken breast, and a baconized tuna salad recipe.

www.bacontoday.com is another site. This site appeals to those of you who are looking to take your bacon recipes to the extreme and don’t care about calorie counts.

Two of the better recipes include: chocolate bacon rice crispy treats, and a recipe for a bacon pumpkin pie.

Lastly, if you are going to dive into the world of bacon, you have to know of and pay your respects to the gods of bacon from the online cooking show, Epic Meal Time.

Epic Meal Time is a channel on YouTube where a group of guys who look like they have never touched a salad in their lives cook some of the wildest recipes ever. And one of their key ingredients in the majority of the shows is of course bacon.

The crew from Epic Meal Time will make meals that top 60 000 calories!

They take bacon past the level of extreme to a level that can only be defined as complete and utter madness.

These sites are for people who are enveloped in the world of bacon.

If you are just looking to dip your toe into the ocean of grease and see how you like it, then I’ve got a great starter recipe for you.
