The Mount Royal Cougars took to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday night to battle it out with city rivals, the University of Calgary Dinos, as part of the highly anticipated Crowchild Classic.
The women’s team started off the night by getting an early lead on the Dinos, eventually beating them 3-1.
The fifth annual Crowchild Classic saw an attendance of 11,900, just short of the record 13,000 people who attended last year’s classic.
