There are some Albertans who have never been to a rodeo or don’t fully understand how rodeo events work.
The rodeo is a huge part of Alberta’s heritage and history and learning about how it works is vital to understanding the roots of our province.
One aspect of the rodeo is the community behind the scenes that aren’t usually seen by the general audience. Almost everyone who competes on the circuit develops life-long friendships with fellow competitors and some even become a rodeo family, travelling from show to show across western Canada.
