After the devastating floods in 2013 across southern Alberta, many small towns were left with little visitors to the area.

A local business in the community of Bowness hosted its first ever birthday bash on Sep. 16, 2018. Bowest Motors, an automotive repair and maintenance shop, invited its customers and neighbours to enjoy live music, food truck eats and a classic car show to celebrate its 60th year of business.

Becky Feasby, the owner of Prairie Girl Flowers, brings her passion for flowers to Calgary in the form of a flower truck.

On the East African Island of Zanzibar, the Mazizini Children’s House Orphanage houses and supports around 30 children as young as the age of one. But when orphans turn 18, they must leave the Tanzanian orphanage they’ve called home and learn to live on their own.
