The cultivating sounds of Africa were on display at Prince's Island Park on Aug. 9 as part of the 23rd Afrikadey music festival. Attendees were treated to an array of different musical acts such as Ethiopian and Sudanese dance perfomances, Yoruban drumming, and Congolese jazz. People that attended Afrikadey were also exposed to other aspects of African culture such as food, clothing and jewelry from that continent.
