When one thinks of a dive bar, an image of a scabby hole in the wall filled with intoxicated undesirables comes to mind. But after checking out neighbourhood pubs in each of Calgary's four quadrants, a common theme unites them. They are places where people can go to get reasonably priced drinks, mingle with familiar facs and relax after a long day at work.
