Calgary women's march fills downtown streets
Hundreds of Calgarians braved the cold January air to march down to city hall on Saturday, for the third annual March On event supporting and rallying for women's rights. The event originally started in 2017 rallying against women’s socio-economic oppression after the Donald Trump election.
The march began at noon in front of Bankers Hall on Steven Avenue and ended two hours later in front of city hall.
At city hall guest speakers including comedian Adora Nwofor as grand marshal, sector 12 Indigenous liaison Michelle Robinson, Humaira Falak and Calgary activist Aria Burrell.
