Lisanne Wagstaff trains horses and runs a summer program teaching children all about western culture. When she is away from the ranch, she sketches in her notebook or practices her makeup skills.

LeRoy Willsie makes his living on a cattle ranch in Caroline, Alberta. Over the years, Willsie has been invested in both the rodeo and farming communities, where he and his wife Diane chose to raise their three sons. During his time on the rodeo circuit, Willsie participated in several events: tie-down roping, team roping, and steer wrestling.

Lynnae Calderwood is a 15-year-old high school student from Calgary. Along with the regular essentials, she brings Kleenexes and cough drops with her wherever she goes to help deal with the cold Calgary weather. She also brings a book, her iPod, and Nintendo DS with her for when she needs to pass the time.

Sydney Semchuk is creative and bright, as shown through her notebook, laptop, purple flower and colourful hair scrunchy. The heart sunglasses, soft leather change purse and cozy socks represent her compassionate, warm and open nature.

Stephanie Ann Thompson is a fourth-year commerce student at the University of Calgary. Although she keeps a tight schedule between school, writing for her blog Live to Enjoy the Light, and planning her upcoming wedding, Thompson always takes the time for snuggles with her cat, Ophelia.

Michael Giroux is a family man, born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Giroux owns and operates Grace Electric and is a jack-of-all-trades with experience in multiple areas of work, including mechanics, maintenance, and everything in between. Each item – including the eyeglasses – is essential to Mike’s everyday life.

Howard Kong is a local DJ who enjoys making and playing his own music for other people, as he finds it “a rewarding experience” because it’s always been his passion. In his spare time, Kong produces his own music using Ableton Live and hopes to release his album soon. Kong mostly plays at commercial events on the weekends under his own company, Blacklight Club.

Philipe Araújo is a Brazilian exchange student at Mount Royal University. Araújo studies linguistics and speaks seven languages. Two things Philipe couldn’t live without are chocolate and coffee. To balance his love of fine food, Araújo plays a lot of sports and goes to the recreation center almost every day. One special item that Araújo brought with him from Brazil is a necklace with a ring on it. “I got it from a very special person,“Araújo says. It is his lucky charm.

Anna Haataja is a third year geology majour at the University of Calgary. When she’s not deep into her books learning about rock formations, she is either icing the best cupcakes in Kensington, or she is somewhere between the foothills and British Columbia doing any number of things such as hiking, studying or taking in the scenery.

Lucas Roberts is a broadcasting student at Mount Royal University. He almost always has Spitz sunflower seeds on him, and on the floor of his car. Roberts picked up the Spitz habit after watching Mulder devour them in The X-Files.

Shehana Woodland, a fourth year midwifery student at Mount Royal University. Home visits and clinic hours are part of her daily routine, and while at home she is always ready to go at a moments notice to the Hospital to catch a baby. Woodland is proud to pack all of her equipment into her antique-looking doctor’s bag, which sits on the passenger seat of her vehicle, going with her everywhere.
