Over 700 Calgary and international artists gathered at the BMO Centre on Oct. 18-20, for the annual Tattoo and Art Festival, the biggest show of its kind in the country.

“Calgary has some amazing artists, like probably the mecca for Canada, like the most talented artists in one city. It is truly amazing,” said Steve Peace, head director of the festival.

With a wide array of shops and artists, festivalgoers could walk into almost any booth to get a tattoo in a variety of different styles, without making an appointment.

The festival organizers will be putting on another event in February, to encourage people to get a tattoo during the slower season.
