The Calgary Journal is a community news service produced by students and supported by faculty and staff at Mount Royal University’s Journalism & Digital Media program. We tell multimedia stories about our city that you won’t find anywhere else and provide a supportive environment for emerging journalists to publish their work.

Julianna Adair is excited to be in her fourth year of the journalism program, where she has had the opportunity to report on various topics, including healthcare, environment, and agriculture. Cayley Carmichael is a fourth-year journalism student who is passionate about music, art, and events happening in the Calgary community. Adeline Gladu is a fourth-year Journalism and Digital Media student with experience in radio and news broadcasting, audio production and editing, among other skills. Her role as a Treaty 7 editor with the Calgary Journal highlights her experience rooted in her own perspective as a Southern Tutchone, European and Dunne-za person. Amy Jaquish is in her fourth and final year of the Journalism and Digital Media program at Mount Royal University. She has a passion for both writing and photography, as she loves to capture every aspect of a story. Her work ranges from community news and profiles to politics and world events. She has worked with the Calgary Journal, The Reflector, and The Western Wheel. As well, she has worked as a photographer in New York for the comedy collective Pretty Funny Comedy.
