After playing in the WHL for the Portland Winterhawks and a brief stint in the pros, Robbie Fromm-Delorme joined the Mount Royal University Cougars for his first full season, and is already earning his stripes with the team.
His time in the the WHL gave the Cougars forward the capacity and determination to help win the upcoming games, and he hopes to refine his skills in his new Calgary home.
Along with the opportunity to play hockey this season, Fromm-Delorme is grateful to be getting an education with his signing package from the WHL. He’ll receive a scholarship that covers five years of his education, as he studies business at Mount Royal.
The New Westminster, B.C. native played 13 games of professional hockey with the ECHL’s Savannah Ghost Pirates, recording seven points.

Cougars head coach Bert Gilling is glad to have Fromm-Delorme on the team.
“He’s a good player. He’s here to get better. This isn’t an end game for him, he’s trying to get better and have another opportunity in pro hockey as a better hockey player,” Gilling said.
So far this season, he’s been finding success with the Cougars. He’s scored twice and added 10 assists in just 15 games.
