The Hart family has deep roots here in Calgary, when in 1948, Stu Hart started Stampede Wrestling, which brought forth wrestling stars like Brett “The Hitman” Hart.

Now, Dallas Hart is running Dungeon Wrestling in the same spot his grandfather ran Stampede Wrestling with the hopes of returning it to its former glory.

But with a changed fan base, Hart is adapting Dungeon Wrestling to match Stampede Wrestling’s flair, with new characters and charm.

“We have a lot of ties to how things used to be, but we also do things a little differently and, you know, it’s definitely more new age, and we have people coming from all over the world and trying to help a lot of local talent too,” said Hart.

But even with the challenges of adapting Dungeon Wrestling to Calgary’s current fan base, Hart is proud to carry on his family’s legacy.

“My grandfather dedicated his whole life to this business, and, you know, he made this possible for me to do. And, you know, his legacy’s gonna be really hard even to come close to. But, you know, I am, I’m happy to carry it on with my dad helping and. If you look around, there’s a lot of Hart members everywhere,” said Hart.
