While eating regularly is important, some students sacrifice proper meals to fit within their budget.
With the ongoing rise in food prices worldwide, planning meals has become an additional burden for students. They now must constantly keep thinking about what to eat.

Food kiosks on university campuses are not immune to inflation. They rent the space from the student association, so they set their own prices, which many students can’t afford.
The Students’ Associations at Mount Royal (SAMRU) offers a daily breakfast program that runs from 8:45 a.m. until supplies run out.
Coffee and tea are available all day long for students to enjoy.
Students can also come and enjoy the food as many times as they need, no questions asked, and there is also a large closet full of bags of bread that they can take home.
There are also several financial assistance options available at SAMRU, like the food cupboards around campus, which are stocked several times a day, and the organizers provide gift cards for students who are still struggling to eat healthy.
