The King Penguins took their walk once again at the Calgary Zoo, after a period of colder weather.
The family-friendly event took place in early February, starting and finishing at the front of the Penguin Plunge building, and drew a large crowd.
The Penguin Walks at the Zoo have been running since 2012, and, as the birds choose each morning whether to walk, they offer an opportunity for exercise and adventure.
The walks ran this year from January to mid-March, beginning at 10:30 a.m. every day, as long as temperatures did not rise above 5 C, drop to or below -25 C, and the wind was not too strong.
The event is expected to return next year, with a chance to see the birds walk once again.
