Over 1.4 million attendees visited the Calgary Stampede for the 2026 edition, making this year’s 10-day event the third most visited installment of the rodeo festival in the city’s history.
Despite affordability concerns, the final day of the festival brought in over 122,000 visitors on its final night, offered days of free entry, and hosted an assortment of free entertainment on the festival grounds.
This year’s music lineup included a variety of genres, including performances from A$AP Rocky, deadmau5, Alanis Morissette, and Ella Langley, with several music tents spread across the downtown core to provide different options for music lovers.
Interesting new food creations were also a highlight on the midway, including a tray of matcha mini donuts sprinkled with edible gold flakes, BBQ rib cookies, bacon-wrapped Mars bars, and candied pickles, with more than 65 new food booths added to this year’s festival.
