A university in Calgary says it’s investigating a cyberattack.
Mount Royal University says in a statement that it notified affected students and employees about the attack on June 18.
The university says some data was taken and deleted, while departmental information was simply deleted without being accessed.
It says full data recovery may not be possible.
The university is offering some of those affected with credit monitoring and identity theft protection services as a precautionary measure.
It says it has also reported the attack to police and Alberta’s information and privacy commissioner.
