Good morning and happy Saturday.

Usually, we strive to make our newsletters a little bit lighter and more upbeat, but given the mass shooting this week in Tumbler Ridge, B.C., this morning’s email is more subdued.

With that in mind, below are a few stories from this week that you may be interested in reading, along with some images in our photo gallery that you might appreciate looking at.

We hope that during these dark times, you can find some peace this long weekend, catch up on the Olympics and spend some time outdoors before it gets colder next week. We also encourage you to give your friends and family members a hug today if you haven’t already (let’s share the love).

One last thing: thank you for all the support with our newsletter. We appreciate you all.
