<p>Hello Calgary Journal subscribers!</p>
<p>Firstly, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to our students, new and returning, who I’m sure are all very excited to be (sort of) on campus. </p>
<p>This month, a new provincial state of emergency started, the government  implemented the proof-of<em>-</em>vaccination program, the federal election has come and gone and the trees have started to change from greens to oranges. </p>
<p>However, with that comes a new semester and new opportunities. Our team promises to bring you our best reporting during this fall semester.</p>
<p>If you missed the federal election, our elections editor, Eric Tanner, did a <a href="https://calgaryjournal.ca/2021/09/20/live-blog-federal-election-night-in-calgary/">live blog</a> detailing the course of the night.</p>
