Taking over Fort Calgary on Labour Day long weekend, X-fest showed attendees and bands alike why it is becoming one of Canada’s premier music festivals. The event spanned two days for the first time since its inception, with food trucks fueling concertgoers while the beer gardens kept them cool.

With a lineup ranging from the up tempo pop-punk sound of Blink-182 to the soulful melodic sound of Canada’s own City & Colour, the array of styles on stage went hand-in-hand with varying tastes of the crowd.
