Becky Feasby, the owner of Prairie Girl Flowers, brings her passion for flowers to Calgary in the form of a flower truck.

With an increased demand for organic, locally-sourced and locally-owned business in Calgary, there has been a rise in the small business. Among the most novel of them would be a flower truck that goes to its customers.

Becky Feasby is determined to bring her passion for locally grown and responsible floristry to the streets of Calgary in the form of a flower truck. She hopes that this converted truck can bring attention to her company Prairie Girl Flowers and catch the eye of the people of Calgary.

“I want to show people what local flowers is all about, changing their perception of what they think they should see in their bouquets. The kinds of growers we should support. I hope that I can get our name out there and let people know that we can come to them for their special events,” says Feasby.

The Fall Home show concluded the weekend of Sept. 23. Feasby hopes that going to more of these shows and events will give her the exposure she needs to get her company to the eyes of Calgarians.

“I’d love to see Prairie Girl on the road regularly, especially downtown. I would really love to get a spot downtown.” says Feasby.

Calgary Journal Videographer Isaiah Lindo caught up with Feasby as the Fall Home Show was in full Swing.
