On Jan. 31, 2025, energy poured out from the Montgomery Community Centre in Calgary as local hardcore band Solar Plexus took the stage. Their performance, marked by downtuned riffs, striking cymbals and harsh vocals, led fans to mosh wall to wall. The event was part of a DIY initiative that focuses on bringing Calgary’s underground music scene together, giving both bands and fans of all ages a space to express themselves through heavy music.
