In late February, the Calgary Humane Society hosted Paws for a Cause: Puppy Yoga at its facility southwest of Calgary.

This event, made possible through the collaboration between Humankind and YYC Run Crew, aimed to promote mental health awareness and wellness.

The yoga sessions involved playful puppies, which brought joy and laughter amongst participants.

Calgary Journal reporter Laila Malik reports on the yoga class with puppies.

The two-and-a-half-hour event offered participants the opportunity to reflect and engage in conversations regarding community and mindfulness while enjoying the company of adoptable puppies.

Half of the money raised through ticket sales went towards supporting the Calgary Humane Society’s efforts to improve animal welfare.
