At 84, Leonard Dicks reflects on a life shaped by hard work, family and resilience.

Dicks talks about leaving his life in Newfoundland to find work as a pipe fitter in Fort McMurray to provide for his family.

Following his move to Calgary, Dicks spoke on life’s hardships, including the death of one of his sons and a tragic accident that left one of his granddaughters partially paralyzed.

Despite this, Dicks remains grateful for his health, his family and the memories along the way.
