Hygge Hut pop-up
November 12, 2021 @ 12:00 pm – March 12, 2022 @ 6:00 pm
“Hygge” is used to describe something that’s cozy and comfortable, leading towards a feeling of well-being. This was the inspiration to create a Scandinavian-style space in East Village where community comes together through different programs in a welcoming area.
The pop-up Hygge Hut will be available through the winter every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, each day with a special schedule to reach that relaxed and happy state it aims for.
On Fridays, firepits are lit from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Calgary Public Library hosts Fireside Storytime from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and ice carving demonstrations go on by Frozen Memories from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
On Saturdays, fire pits are lit from noon to 6:00 p.m., which include live music performances from 3:30 to 5:30 thanks to Music Mile.
On Sundays, fire pits are also lit from noon to 6:00 p.m. and at 1:00 p.m., there is the Community Dog Walk with Internet-famous doggies.
Games, food trucks, crafts and overall great company transforms East Village into an even more special place to endure the coldness from the outside and simply enjoy oneself. You will also be able to find goodies from EV.
