A lot is happening in our city this week.

As Calgarians carve pumpkins and prepare for Halloween, the city also begins carving out its next chapter under new municipal leaders.

Jeromy Farkas has been unofficially elected mayor. However, a recount of votes will take place in the coming days, as requested by runner-up Sonya Sharp. Sharp trails Farkas with a margin of less than 600 votes.

Here’s your reminder that this weekend is the end of daylight savings, so set your clocks back an hour on Saturday night and enjoy an extra hour of sleep!
