The museum is open every Saturday and Sunday for the rest of December, except for Christmas Day, when they are closed. Visitors will have free access to all the centre’s attractions.

“First and foremost the Studio Bell is a museum but secondarily we are a performing space, so we have our beautiful performing hall,” Meghan Lawrence, an employee at centre says.

The free admission is sponsored by ATB and features live performances. Artists such as Alex Hughes, Darcy Stamp, and Hayden McHugh have already performed, and many other great artists are scheduled.

Hughes, a local country-pop artist, says it’s an honour to perform at the venue.

“You know what, it means so much to be able to play here at the National Music Centre. It’s such a beautiful space and we are so lucky to have this space in Calgary. It really, really means a lot,” she says.
