Calgary Lore of the Week
What time is it? Alberta Time.
Alberta has officially introduced Alberta Time (ABT), meaning our clocks will stay put year-round. This November, Calgary won’t turn the clocks back an hour—keeping us on UTC−6 permanently.
Albertans actually voted on permanent daylight time in 2021, with half rejecting it (50.2% voted no).
