Hello Calgary Journal Subscribers!
Welcome back to another edition of the Calgary Journal newsletter. Though Stampede has officially came to an end this week, more sunny days are still in store for the city as summer is in full swing. We are missing our journalists as students are still on summer break but have plenty of new content to keep you occupied.
We have many new and interesting stories up on The Calgary Journal website, including:
- The hospitality industry is struggling – big changes needed — with lifted restrictions many in the restaurateurs are struggling to find enough staffing
- Calgary with mixed feelings as a result of city council removing mandatory mask bylaws — with masks now optional in Calgary, some still aren’t ready to ditch an added layer of protection
- ‘We are hopeful:’ University of Alberta clinical trial searching for a celiac supplement –– for those with celiac disease, regulating diet can be difficult, but a new trial is trying to make life easier
- Student group asks Elections Canada to reconsider advanced poll –– with a municipal election coming up, students are calling for more options for where they can vote
And more!
